paint correction - what is it?

Paint correction is the process of machine polishing the paint or clear coat on a vehicle, usually in multiple stages, in order to remove (or drastically reduce) surface defects such as: swirls, spider-webbing, scratches, water spot/sap/bird poo etchings, and more. In more extreme cases and where applicable, paint correction can involve sanding to remove that “orange peel” texture from the surface, dramatically increasing clarity.
